Last month, I beckoned each of you to join me for the “Arise for Freedom,” and to earnestly seek God’s face through prayer and fasting. The time is quickly approaching where the future of this nation will be decided within the next month.
I sought the Lord once again, concerning the direction of our nation and what concerns Him. He led me to these scriptures in Joshua. Joshua 24:14-15 “Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
The time is near for you to make a choice. Just as the people of Israel had to choose who they would serve, we, the Church, are in the same position. Are we going to choose to stand for God and by God concerning His laws and ways or are we going to falter. Will we be a Church that serves him with all faithfulness? Or will we allow compromise to set in?
Our founding fathers not only believed there is a God, who is Creator and Almighty, but they committed and submitted their lives wholeheartedly to Him. It is time for the Church to arise and stand. We serve the God of the universe who is, who was, and who is to come. We can no longer oblige those who try to remove God from their agendas and call it political correctness. The truth of the matter is that God so desires fellowship with mankind, it’s in His nature. He is also a Holy and Just God who has paved the pathway of righteousness before us through His Word.
1 Corinthians 10:23 “Everything is permissible – but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible – but not everything is constructive.” What may seem correct in man’s eye has become detrimental concerning the values of the sanctity of life; marriage and freedom placing each in jeopardy. Its effects will not only impact this current generation, but for the generations to come.
“Arise for Freedom” is a call to the Church to stand firm on the principles of God. We can no longer try to change the Word of God to suit our standards, but it is time for the Church to rise to the standards of what God has already ordained.
It is time for us to stand firm and to be the voice He has designed for us to be. It is time to “Arise for Freedom”- Freedom that our Founding Fathers fought for us to have; freedom that our Lord Jesus Christ gave His life so that we could have.
